It was late Lala Wazir Chand Khanna, an entrepreneur with a vision who along with his three sons, Kewal Krishan Khanna, Raj Kishan Khanna and Vijay Khanna established the Khanna Group of Companies in the year 1953 in the city of New Delhi. This family oriented enterprise first opened its doors to customers in the first showroom at Karol Bagh in Delhi.

Khanna Jewelers has earned the distinction of being the first and foremost jewelry organizations to receive the ISO 9002 certification besides being one of the very few companies to offer IGI certified diamond studded jewelry. The founder members of the Khanna Group of Companies, Mr. Raj Khanna is the President of the Karol Bagh Jewelers Association while Mr. Vijay Khanna, who is also the Managing Director of the Khanna Group of Companies has now donned the mantle of the President of the company soon after the tenure of Mr. Raj Khanna was over.

Mr. Vijay Khanna is also one of the very few BIS consultants on a special committee organized by the Government of India to take care of the matters relating to the Hallmark and Quality of the Gold Jewelry. He is also one of the very few persons to a part of the Gold Council.
